Mi favourite book: "La tregua"

My favourite book is "La Tregua", it was writed by Mario Benedetti in 1960.
The way in wich the story is narrated is like a lifes's diarie, it's writed by the main character. The plot talk about the days of Martín Santomé, the protagonist, a 49 years old man that lost his wife very years ago, who has a routinary and boring existence, and also a complicated relationship with his sons: Laura, Jaime and Esteban; nevertheless one day Martín knows Laura, a young woman of 24 years that arrives as employed to the office in where Martín works, they start to have a romance. Finally she dies, and this period of happines with Laura before her death is "La Tregua", like an oasis, or a lapsus in the life of the protagonist; then he must come back to de routine.
                                                                                                                         
I think I like the style of Benedetti because he don't try to write in an extravagancy way, he's simple and very "human" with his words; because of this when I read it I felt like invaded for the lines, and read the book.for me was so easy and fast. I had the sensation that I was listen a friend tell me their things full of sincerety.
 
I had to read "La tregua" in the school and it'was one of the most beautiful homeworks, with other ones; for example "El tunel" of Ernesto Sabato, or "El extranjero" of Albert Camus. I absolutely recommend it.
